CURIOUS NETWORKS TO PRESENT AT
MIDWEST WIRELESS APPLICATION DEVELOPERS
SIG |
|
 |
|
|
 |
CHICAGO
- February 17, 2002 - Curious
Networks today announces Chuck
Clark, Senior Software Engineer
at Curious Networks, has been
selected to speak at the Midwest
Wireless Application Developers
Special Interest Group (SIG) hosted
by Geneer, a leading developer
of custom wireless applications.
On Tuesday, February 19, Mr. Clark
will present "Mobile User
Interface Standards: Challenges
and Solutions." |
|
 |
|
|
 |
Delivering applications to a mobile
workforce requires user interfaces
to operate on the dozens of PDAs,
WAP phones, and voice recognition
systems available. While some
standards exist, they are too
simplistic and often not adhered
to by device manufacturers, making
the mobile application developer's
job a nightmare. Mr. Clark will
discuss current trends and growth
in mobile solutions and detail
some of the technical complexities
involved in developing multi-channel
applications. Several approaches
will be discussed including manual
coding, XML/XSL transformations,
and product solutions. This presentation
will be followed by a question
and answer session to discuss
experiences building and delivering
mobile applications. |
|
 |
|
|
 |
Developed for technical professionals
by technical professionals, this
new, non-commercial SIG is designed
to promote discussion of wireless
developer tips and tools, and
provides the opportunity to network
and learn.
|
|
 |
|
|
 |
The SIG will meet on February
19th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at
Geneer's headquarters located
at Geneer, 1400 E. Touhy Ave.,
Des Plaines, Illinois. |
