CURIOUS NETWORKS GROWS CUSTOMER BASE AS CONTINUUM EMBEDDED EDITION 2.1.1 IS RELEASED
Continuum Embedded Edition attracts top customers and further positions itself as the leading solution for software manufacturers to extend their products with mobile capabilities

CHICAGO - January 21, 2002 - Curious Networks, a leading provider of mobile-enablement solutions for software manufacturers, today announced the release of Continuum Embedded Edition version 2.1.1. Curious Networks also announced that several new software manufacturers have selected Continuum Embedded Edition to mobile-enable their products. These announcements further Continuum Embedded Edition's position as the leading mobile-enablement solution for software manufacturers.

Curious Networks' new customers include a nearly $2 Billion provider of enterprise software solutions, a top provider of sales force effectiveness tools, and a leader in customer relationship management solutions. These customers join the many other companies including ABN AMRO, eGain Communcations and Circles, Inc. who are using Curious Networks' Continuum products to provide advanced mobile access to their applications.

Curious Networks' Continuum Embedded Edition is the industry's leading mobile-enablement solution designed specifically to help software manufacturers quickly make the leap to wireless. Software companies can use Continuum Embedded Edition to easily expand their existing solutions to include all variations of Internet-enabled mobile phones, Palm, RIM, and Windows CE devices, and voice recognition capabilities.

While other solutions are merely add-on products, only Continuum Embedded Edition can be directly integrated into software manufacturers' existing applications. This simplified implementation gives customers all the control and flexibility of custom development for a small fraction of the cost and complexity.

Curious Networks' Continuum Embedded Edition version 2.1.1 extends the power of Continuum Embedded Edition with support for additional devices, such as newly released PDAs and mobile phones. Version 2.1.1 also provides additional tools to further simplify the process of integrating the Continuum Engine into third party products.

"As customers' demand for mobile features increases, software companies need to identify an efficient way to meet that demand without significant and costly changes to their products," said Becky Dierks, wireless analyst with Cahners In-Stat.

"Curious Networks' Continuum Embedded Edition offers an excellent remedy to this problem, providing advanced mobile technologies that are integrated with software companies' products, giving customers the mobile capabilities they need from the vendors they know," Dierks added.
